Gunmen Abduct Former PDP Chairman in Kwara

Unknown gunmen have abducted a trader and former ward chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Boriya Shiya Ward in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State, Abubakar Sabi Sise.

According to Sahara Reporters, Sise was attacked and abducted from his residence in the Boriya community in the early hours of Thursday.

Barutem TV reported that the attack occurred around 12 am when the kidnappers stormed the compound and fired several gunshots into the air to frighten residents.

Sources told Barutem TV that one of Alhaji Sise’s sons encountered the kidnappers as he was returning home late at night.

The gunmen reportedly ordered him to call his father and open the door for them. Upon entering, they took only the father and left other family members unharmed.

By morning, shells of bullets and some live bullets were found scattered around the compound, confirming that several shots were fired during the attack.

Residents described the incident as brief but frightening, lasting only a few minutes before the gunmen fled.

Residents quickly alerted the local vigilante team in Boriya and they began searching the surrounding areas in an effort to track the attackers and rescue the victim.
