Ecuadorian Woman Fired After Posting Video With Lionel Messi

An Ecuadorian woman has reportedly been dismissed from her job after posting a brief video featuring football legend Lionel Messi, a recording she made solely to surprise a close friend who admires the Argentine star.

The clip, which showed Messi sending a short greeting, quickly went viral. However, her employer deemed the act inappropriate, arguing that she should not have filmed or shared the footage publicly. The decision to terminate her employment has since sparked widespread criticism on social media, where many users have condemned the company’s actions as harsh and unjustified.

The story gained even more visibility after the popular football platform Instant Foot highlighted the incident, calling the dismissal unfair and questioning the company’s reasoning.

Reacting on Instagram, the woman expressed sadness over losing her job but also shared her belief that better opportunities lie ahead. She explained that her only intention was to make her friend happy and that she never imagined the gesture would result in such consequences.

She went on to thank thousands of supporters from around the world who reached out with encouraging messages, writing, “God’s timing is perfect. Something better is coming my way.”
