Breaking: Pastor Kumuyi Says Claims of Christian Genocide in Nigeria Are Western Propaganda to Justify US Interference

Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has dismissed reports of any ongoing Christian genocide in Nigeria, describing such claims as false and dangerous propaganda orchestrated by foreign powers.

Speaking during a press briefing in Lagos, Kumuyi alleged that some Western nations, particularly the United States, are using religion as a political weapon to interfere in Nigeria’s internal affairs and gain access to the country’s vast natural resources.

“There is no Christian genocide happening in Nigeria,” Kumuyi declared firmly. “These stories are being sponsored by people who want to divide our nation and give America an excuse to invade and take what belongs to us.”

The respected cleric, known for his calm and apolitical approach to national issues, said that while Nigeria faces serious security and religious tensions, there is no evidence to support the narrative of a state-backed campaign to wipe out Christians.

Kumuyi challenged those spreading the reports to provide verifiable evidence of mass killings specifically targeting Christians across the country.

“Show me one Christian genocide happening in Nigeria,” he said. “If you can, I will step down as a pastor today.”

He urged Nigerians not to fall for divisive narratives promoted by foreign media outlets and political interest groups, warning that such propaganda could further polarize the country and invite unwanted external intervention.

Kumuyi emphasized that the country’s challenges ranging from insecurity and corruption to economic hardship should be addressed through unity, prayer, and honest leadership, not through foreign military threats or manipulative campaigns.

“Nigeria belongs to Nigerians,” he concluded. “Our future will not be determined by America or any foreign power, but by how we choose to rebuild our nation together.”
