Ayodele Warns of Planned Terrorist Attacks in Eight States, Cautions Against U.S. Intervention

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a serious warning to Nigerian security agencies over what he described as imminent terrorist attacks across multiple states in the country.

In a statement released through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric identified Nasarawa, Abuja, Ondo, Kaduna, Sokoto, Benue, Katsina and Yobe as states currently under heightened threat. He urged authorities to act swiftly, stressing that failure to respond could trigger a broader national security crisis.

Primate Ayodele warned that terrorist groups may intensify their activities as part of a strategy to undermine President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. He cautioned that the government must prioritise security and enhance military operations to avoid avoidable casualties and disruptions.

“They will use insecurity to fight his government. He needs to take security very seriously. There will be more attacks against the Nigerian army,” Ayodele said.

The cleric also advised against accepting military intervention from the United States, claiming that such involvement could weaken Nigeria’s sovereignty and damage the morale of local security forces. According to him, U.S. assistance, while well-intentioned, could create additional complications.

“America is ready to come to Nigeria’s aid, but it will be a disgraceful operation. If the Nigerian army cannot do the needful, America will strike, and this will affect everything about Tinubu. America taking over will weaken the strength of our soldiers. They need to act immediately,” he warned.

Ayodele urged security agencies to deploy additional personnel to the identified states and intensify intelligence gathering. He stressed that proactive measures must be taken to avert potential attacks and restore public confidence in the nation’s security framework.
