Nollywood actress Sharon Francis has expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the tragic story of Ochanya, a young girl who reportedly endured years of abuse that ultimately led to her death.
Taking to her verified Instagram page, @sharonfrancis01, the actress described Ochanya’s ordeal as “devastating and symbolic of the silent battles many children face in abusive environments.”
In her emotional post, Sharon wrote:
“She was only thirteen. A child, a daughter, a promise of tomorrow. But her innocence was stolen, her laughter silenced, her life cut short by cruelty and abuse.”
She added that Ochanya’s story should not end with her death but serve as a rallying cry for justice and protection for every girl child.
The actress urged Nigerians and relevant authorities to ensure that those responsible for Ochanya’s suffering face the full weight of the law, stressing that no child deserves such pain or neglect.
Her post has since attracted an outpouring of sympathy from fans and fellow actors, with many joining the call under the trending hashtag #JusticeForOchanya.
