Nigerian activist Harrison Gwamnishu has visited the elderly woman who was captured on a live video struggling to run during the recent attack on the Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State.
The attack, which occurred on Tuesday, November 18, took place at the Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, located in the Ekiti Local Government Area of the state. Armed individuals stormed the church during a service, resulting in the deaths of three worshippers. Several others, including the pastor, were abducted.
A live video from the scene circulated widely on social media, showing worshippers attempting to escape. One of the most emotional moments in the footage featured an elderly woman trying to run for safety while the attack was ongoing. Many viewers expressed concern and sympathy after seeing her struggle to flee.
After watching the video, activist Harrison Gwamnishu sought out the woman to check on her condition. He later shared a video of his visit, reassuring the public that she survived the incident and thanking those who expressed concern for her wellbeing.
The attack has continued to spark conversations nationwide, with many Nigerians calling for stronger security measures to protect vulnerable communities.
