Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has spoken out on the ongoing marital crisis between her colleague Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, advising Regina to leave the marriage if the allegations of domestic violence are true.
In a post shared via her Instagram page, Jegede condemned all forms of abuse, stressing that no relationship or amount of wealth is worth sacrificing one’s safety and mental health.
“Regina, you are still very young. If there’s violence in your marriage, please carry your bag and go,” Yvonne wrote. “There’s no sugarcoating when violence is involved — whether man or woman.”
She urged the actress to prioritize her mental well-being and that of her two sons, noting that self-preservation should always come before public image or societal pressure.
Jegede’s statement has since generated mixed reactions online. While many praised her for her courage and honesty, others argued that such sensitive matters should be handled privately.
Her comments come amid the viral fallout between Regina and Ned Nwoko, after the actress allegedly accused her husband of domestic violence — an accusation the senator denied, instead alleging that Regina’s drug and alcohol use had strained their marriage.
