Young Lady Mobbed After Swapping Elderly Man’s ATM Card to Steal His Money

A young woman has sparked outrage after she was allegedly caught stealing from an elderly man inside a bank by swapping his ATM card.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @Chukerice, the suspect reportedly entered the banking hall with the intention of exchanging ATM cards belonging to unsuspecting customers in order to withdraw their money.

However, her suspicious movements reportedly caught the attention of bank staff and other customers, leading to her being apprehended. The video shows her surrounded by security personnel and bystanders, bowing her head in shame as she was interrogated.

The footage quickly spread across social media, prompting widespread reactions. While many condemned her actions, others urged that she be handed over to the police rather than being physically assaulted.

Some users also criticized the bank’s security protocols, questioning how such an incident could occur within the premises. The situation has reignited discussions on the need for tighter security measures to protect elderly and vulnerable customers in banking halls.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the matter as of the time of filing this report.
