A Tanzanian man, Saidi Msosi, has gone viral after transforming what once seemed like a personal problem his enormous appetite into a surprising source of fame and fortune.
Msosi, who hails from Morogoro, Tanzania, is known for his remarkable ability to eat massive quantities of food in one sitting. According to reports, he can consume up to two kilograms of rice and an entire goat at once.
In an interview with Millard Ayo, Msosi shared that his passion for food began long ago but escalated over the years.
“I have just eaten 40 donuts in 20 minutes,” he said proudly.
“I started with three to four plates, and now I’m able to eat much more. The doctor told me my stomach is larger than normal and that I should keep eating.”
Despite his confidence, Msosi’s eating habits reportedly strained his marriage. He revealed that his wife eventually left him because she could no longer keep up with his massive daily food needs.
“She got tired of cooking so much every day,” he explained.
“Now I’m single. I just hire young women to cook for me, pay them, and move on with my day. I don’t want another woman right now.”
At 72 kilograms, Msosi has made a name for himself as a competitive eater, regularly entering local food challenges across Tanzania. He gained attention after participating in the Tonge Nyama competition in Morogoro, where he wowed the crowd by finishing 40 donuts in just 20 minutes.
What began as a domestic struggle has turned into a success story. Msosi now earns money from food competitions, endorsements, and public appearances, using his winnings to buy land, build a house, and purchase two motorcycles.
Despite rumors that his abilities are supernatural, Msosi insists there’s nothing mystical about his appetite.
“People think it’s witchcraft, but it’s not,” he said.
“I just have a big stomach and I know how to use it.”
His story has become an internet sensation across East Africa, sparking discussions about body metabolism, talent, and how unexpected skills can open new doors.
