A violent clash over a family traditional title dispute has claimed the lives of two men in Gbajibo village, located in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Sunday, the tragic incident occurred on Friday, October 3, 2025, following a heated argument between the two men Iliyasu Umar Sayidi, aged 30, and Ahmadu Isah, aged 25 both from Bukka village in the same local government area.
Eyewitnesses said the disagreement, which began as a verbal exchange over a traditional title within the family, quickly escalated into violence. The two men reportedly attacked each other with daggers during the altercation, inflicting deep stab wounds.
Both men sustained severe injuries and were rushed by residents to the General Hospital, Jebba, where medical personnel pronounced them dead on arrival.
Police operatives later arrived at the scene, took photographs of the bodies, and deposited the corpses at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.
Authorities confirmed that the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further inquiry to determine the underlying cause of the dispute and whether other individuals were involved.
