Toyosi Etim-Effiong, wife of Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong, has shared the heartwarming story of how her husband revealed his life ambition when they first met.
According to Toyosi, during one of their early conversations, she asked Daniel about his plans for the future, and he responded simply and confidently: “I want to make films.”
Taking to her Instagram page, the media personality and producer recalled that at the time, Daniel was pursuing a Master’s degree in Filmmaking at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, while she was studying Producing at the New York Film Academy in the United States.
She wrote:
“When I met @etimeffiong and asked what his plans in life were, he said pretty straightforwardly, ‘I want to make films’. He was getting a Masters in Filmmaking at the University of Johannesburg in SA and I was getting a one-year diploma in Producing at New York Film Academy in New York, so his dream didn’t scare me. In fact, it seemed like we were very much aligned.”
Toyosi added that their shared passion for storytelling and filmmaking has remained one of the strongest foundations of their relationship, with both continuing to make their mark in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
