Toluwani Odukoya Opens Up About Marital Separation and Finding Strength in Faith

Toluwani Odukoya

Associate Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Toluwani Odukoya,
has candidly shared her experience with marital separation, describing it as one of the most difficult seasons of her life.

In a recent interview, the 40-year-old pastor revealed that the decision to separate from her husband stemmed from circumstances beyond her control, likening the process to “a form of loss.”

Toluwani emphasized that separation should not always be viewed as a sign of failure or personal fault. She explained that while her marriage ended, her ex-husband remains “a great man,” but their union was not aligned with God’s plan.

“My ex-husband is a great man… but if God doesn’t ordain you guys to be together and you force-fit yourselves, the likelihood of staying together is very low,” she said.

Reflecting on her journey, Toluwani also spoke about the string of family tragedies that tested her faith — including the deaths of her stepmother, her father’s twin sister, and eventually her father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the late Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed away on August 7, 2023.

These losses, she admitted, compounded the emotional toll of her separation. Yet, through it all, she found renewed strength and purpose in her relationship with God.

Toluwani shared that her faith has deepened in this period of pain and transition, and the love and support of her family have been instrumental in helping her heal.

Encouraging others who may be facing similar challenges, she urged them not to feel ashamed or defeated.

“Healing and resilience are possible when you place your trust in God and surround yourself with people who uplift you in your moments of weakness,” she said.

Her story stands as a message of faith, grace, and the courage to rebuild — even after life’s most painful chapters.
