Toke Makinwa Clarifies Daughter’s Name After Fan Assumes Her Baby Daddy Is Muslim

Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has addressed a fan’s assumption about her baby’s name and the religion of her child’s father.

The speculation began after a fan commented under one of Toke’s recent Instagram posts, suggesting that her daughter’s father might be Muslim because of the baby’s name, Yakira.

“I think Yakira’s dad is a Muslim,” the fan wrote.

Toke promptly corrected the misconception, replying that her baby daddy is not Muslim and explaining the true meaning of her daughter’s name.

She wrote:

“He is not. Yakira is a Hebrew name. Beloved, precious, and someone of great worth.”

The clarification comes weeks after reports surfaced in August that the 40-year-old former on-air personality had welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Yakira Eliana.

Just three days ago, Toke delighted her followers by sharing a tour of her daughter’s pink-themed nursery, complete with soft décor and personalized touches. The post quickly went viral, drawing warm reactions and congratulations from fans and fellow celebrities alike.
