Suzanne Emma Opens Up on Alleged Domestic Abuse by Ex-Husband, Actor Emeka Ike

Suzanne Emma

Suzanne Emma, the ex-wife of veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ike, has opened up about the alleged domestic violence she endured during their marriage.

Speaking in an emotional interview on With Chude, hosted by media personality Chude Jideonwo, and published on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, Suzanne recounted several incidents that led to the breakdown of their marriage.

According to her, the abuse was so severe at times that she feared for her life.

“When Emeka complained that our baby was having rashes on her body, I told him to give me money to take her to the hospital, and then he slapped me,” she recalled.
“I told him that he could not keep beating me, and when I held his hand, he hit me at the back of my neck. I lost consciousness in all my body parts and went down on the floor. Emeka Ike kept on beating me, and I told him I would die if he hit me one more time. I could only talk and hear, and the incident happened in front of our kids.”

Suzanne revealed that the repeated assaults and emotional trauma eventually pushed her to leave the marriage for her safety and that of her children.

Her revelation has reignited conversations on domestic violence in relationships, especially among public figures, with many social media users expressing sympathy and calling for greater protection for victims of abuse.
