“She’s Just Like My Mum; A Capable Woman Who Knows How to Take Care of Me” Cross Opens Up About His Fiancée

Former Big Brother Naija Season 6 housemate, Ikechukwu Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross, has shared insights into the spiritual and emotional journey that led him to his fiancée, describing their relationship as divinely orchestrated.

In an interview reported by The Punch on Saturday, October 11, 2025, Cross revealed that his first encounter with his fiancée occurred outside a church in Abuja, where she was waiting for her family after a service. According to him, their meeting felt destined from the start.

Cross recalled being immediately captivated by her beauty, spirituality, and humility, emphasizing that her strong commitment to prayer and fasting stood out. He said those qualities resonated deeply with him and affirmed that she was the right partner.

“She’s just like my mum; a capable woman who knows how to take care of me,” Cross said, adding that her nurturing nature gives him peace and stability.

The reality TV star also disclosed that their meeting fulfilled a prophetic dream he had years ago, in which he envisioned his future wife but could not see her face. When he met his fiancée, he said, everything about her matched the woman from his dream, and his spirit recognized her instantly.

Reflecting on his past relationships, Cross admitted that immaturity and lack of spiritual grounding had contributed to previous failures. However, he noted that personal growth, deeper faith, and a renewed sense of purpose have shaped how he now approaches love and communication.

Cross further explained that keeping God at the center of his relationship has brought peace, understanding, and balance unlike anything he has experienced before. He described his bond with his fiancée as one built not just on physical attraction or convenience but on shared values and divine connection.

The BBNaija alumnus expressed optimism about their future together, saying their relationship is grounded in faith and mutual respect  foundations he believes will help them overcome life’s challenges and sustain their love for years to come.
