Rob Kardashian is reportedly thriving as he steps back into the spotlight. After years away from reality television, the 38-year-old star is said to be in a much better place — both mentally and emotionally.
According to People, a close source revealed that Rob is now “way more comfortable with who he is” after a long journey of self-acceptance and healing.
Rob made his long-awaited return to television in the season 7 premiere of The Kardashians, which aired on October 23, marking his first appearance on the show since 2016. The insider shared that the reality star “seems open to appear on the show more often” as he eases back into public life.
Following his highly publicized breakup with Blac Chyna — with whom he shares an 8-year-old daughter, Dream Kardashian, Rob chose to live a quieter, more private life. The source explained that he’s reached “a point in his life [where] he just doesn’t care as much what anyone thinks.”
“He really struggled with body issues and self-confidence for years,” the source added. “But now, negative comments don’t bother him anymore.”
Earlier this year, Rob gave fans a glimpse into his mindset during a podcast appearance, admitting that being in front of cameras wasn’t always easy for him.
“I’m not comfortable in my skin, so why would I wanna go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in? That’s not what I wanna do,” he said.
Despite his past reservations, Rob made it clear that his relationship with his famous family remains strong.
“There’s definitely nothing wrong between any of us. I like being around my family, so that stuff is good to me… I just choose my peace and happiness.”
The insider also revealed that Rob’s current appearances on The Kardashians are “light and unscripted,” with no pressure attached, something that makes him genuinely enjoy being part of the show again.
“He’s in a better place now. He’s more at peace and it shows,” the source concluded.
