Popular Nigerian actress, Regina Daniels, has alleged that she is a victim of domestic violence in her marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the mother of two claimed that the level of violence in her husband’s home has become unbearable.
Regina, visibly distressed in the footage, alleged that Nwoko sent thugs to assault her, shouting at the top of her voice as she confronted the attackers.
In the clip, she was seen seated on the ground while water was poured on her head, reportedly in an attempt to calm her down.
She said:
“Ned sent thugs. In Ned Nwoko’s house, I’m nothing, but in my house, I’m a queen. What again? I can’t stand the violence; it’s too much.”
Regina Daniels, known for her roles in Nollywood films, got married to Ned Nwoko in 2019 when he was 60 years old. The billionaire businessman and politician is about 40 years older than the actress — a detail that has made their union one of the most talked-about celebrity marriages in Nigeria.
As of press time, Senator Ned Nwoko has not released any official statement regarding the allegations.
