Nigerian singer and songwriter Qdot has broken his silence following the traumatic armed robbery attack that took place at his Lagos residence on September 28, 2025.
According to eyewitness accounts and local media reports, the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. when armed men stormed the artist’s home. Qdot, best known for his hit singles blending Yoruba rhythms with Afrobeat, was at home with his DJ, DJ Faya, when the assailants struck. Both men were reportedly held at gunpoint while the robbers ransacked the property.
The intruders allegedly carted away valuables, including cash, electronic gadgets, and personal belongings. Some reports also suggest that the attackers gained access to his online accounts, although this has not yet been officially confirmed by authorities.
In a series of heartfelt posts on his Instagram story, Qdot described the attack as one of the most frightening experiences of his life.
“I didn’t know if I would make it out alive. They took everything valuable I owned, down to the last pin,” he wrote.
“But by the grace and mercy of God, I’m still alive and eternally grateful. They took my possessions, but they did not take my life.”
The singer admitted that he is still traumatized and deeply shaken by the ordeal but assured fans that he is safe and surrounded by close friends, family, and supporters. He expressed gratitude to his fans for their concern and prayers, promising to come back “stronger and wiser” once he recovers from the emotional toll of the incident.
So far, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement on the robbery, and no arrests have been made public. Investigations are said to be ongoing.
