“Protect Your Women from Bitter Feminism” — Nigerian Woman Advises Men

Post

A Nigerian woman, Odette Okwukwe, has sparked conversation online after urging men to protect their partners from what she described as “bitter feminism.”

In a Facebook post shared on Sunday, October 5, Okwukwe advised men to nurture their relationships through love, consistent communication, and emotional reassurance rather than allowing external influences to create division.

“Dear men, protect your women from this ‘b!tter’ feminism culture rampaging everywhere. Speak to them daily, work on your woman’s mind. A simple ‘I love you, you’re amazing’ and other supri supri should suffice,” she wrote.

Okwukwe emphasized that emotional connection and trust are key to maintaining harmony in relationships. She encouraged men to keep their promises and communicate openly, even when things go wrong.

“When you promise, come through. Even if you don’t, guy, talk to her! She won’t bite! What you don’t protect, you give way to be stolen — and not by your fellow man, I’m sorry to say,” she added.

Reflecting on her own relationship, Okwukwe credited her partner’s constant affirmation and affection for keeping her grounded.

“We women, we overthink so much nonsense. I can’t even imagine if I didn’t have the kind of man who reminded me daily how beautiful and amazing I am. Women are not rocket science ooo. Drop that your hard guy and love shege comot that woman eye,” she wrote.

Her post has since stirred mixed reactions online, with some agreeing that emotional connection strengthens relationships, while others criticized her for labeling feminism as “bitter.”
