Former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna Otabor, has spoken out following a viral video that captured her in a heated physical altercation with an unidentified woman.
In the clip, which circulated widely on social media during the week, a lady was seen attacking the reality star while bystanders struggled to separate the pair. The scuffle drew mixed reactions online, with many fans expressing shock over the incident.
Reacting to the viral footage, Phyna took to her Instagram page to share a reflective message with her fans, urging them to be cautious about friendships after achieving fame.
She wrote:
“This life, as a person once you blow, make sure you cut off your old friends. The envy and jealousy choke. Omo, only this 2025 alone for me has been really bad and terrible.”
Her statement comes amid a series of personal challenges, including the recent tragic loss of her sister in an accident involving a Dangote Cement truck.
In a follow-up post, Phyna clarified that contrary to public perception, she was not beaten during the fight — rather, she was the one who overpowered the other woman. She claimed the viral video had been cropped to twist the narrative.
She wrote:
“Who I beat dey hospital. Dem carry touts come fight and people to record. I was attacked from behind on my way out — dem even crop the video just to twist story, say dem beat me. Make una rest! The girl wey I beat never even regain consciousness. Una dey mad! Pray for me.”
Phyna also shed more light on what led to the confrontation, alleging that the woman in question had repeatedly stolen from her.
“Make person just dey thief me dey thief me because say I know you, you dey thief me continuously. If them catch you, you go dey charge say I dey tag you thief? Make she sha do wake up, cuz the story go long,” she added.
The incident has sparked widespread debate on social media, with fans divided — some expressing concern over Phyna’s recent struggles, while others criticized her for the tone of her remarks.
