Phyna Breaks Silence After Viral Hotel Altercation in Abuja

Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 7, has addressed the viral video showing her in a heated altercation at a hotel in Abuja.

The incident, which reportedly occurred early Tuesday morning, allegedly stemmed from an unresolved financial dispute involving ₦200,000. According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation began in Phyna’s hotel room and later escalated into a physical fight in the lobby area.

As tensions rose, more people reportedly joined the fray, turning the disagreement into a prolonged scene that drew attention from hotel guests and staff.

Reacting to the viral video on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Phyna denied claims that she was beaten during the altercation.

In her post, written in Pidgin English, she alleged that the person she fought with ended up hospitalised, writing:

“Who I beat dey hospital, dem carry touts come fight and people to record.”

Phyna further claimed that she was attacked from behind while leaving the scene, accusing others of editing the video to misrepresent the situation.

“I was attacked from behind on my way out. Dem even crop the video just to twist story say dem beat me. Make una rest!”

She concluded her statement with a controversial remark, saying:

“The girl wey I beat never even regain consciousness. Una dey mad! Pray for me make who I beat no die abeg.”
