A Nigerian gym enthusiast, Ama Udofa, has stirred online conversation after humorously complaining about how content creators have “taken over” gyms with their tripods and cameras.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Udofa revealed that during his first visit to the gym in a year, he spent more time “dodging tripods” than actually exercising. His lighthearted remark quickly went viral, striking a chord with many users who said they had experienced the same issue.
One user, Darlington, quipped that this has become “a day in the life of a gym rat — left, right, center,” while another, Sharon, admitted she avoids gyms entirely out of fear of appearing in someone’s Instagram or Snapchat story.
The post has since sparked a wider debate on social media about the balance between personal privacy and content creation in public spaces, with many calling for gyms to set clear rules on filming etiquette.
