“Make I Press for My Family First” — Johnny Drille Explains Why He Doesn’t Do Social Media Giveaways

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Johnny Drille, has revealed why he doesn’t participate in the ongoing social media giveaway trend among celebrities.

A fan identified as Temitope Legit teased the singer online, saying he’s the only celebrity who hasn’t given out money, writing:

“Na only you never press money.”

Responding to the comment, Johnny Drille humorously explained that he prioritizes his large family, saying:

“We plenty for my family, make I press for them finish first.”

When another user jokingly asked how to join his family for financial support, the How Are You (My Friend) crooner playfully replied:

“You can marry any of my 3 brothers shikena.”

While Johnny Drille chooses to focus on family, several Nigerian celebrities have earned praise for their online generosity.

Don Jazzy recently made headlines after gifting a fan ₦6 million upon noticing her meager account balance of ₦67.29.
Similarly, Shallipopi gave out ₦2 million to fans during a lighthearted online session, with two lucky fans receiving ₦1 million each.

Other music stars such as Zlatan Ibile, Davido, and Adekunle Gold have also shown their generosity through various giveaways and acts of kindness online.
