Kim Kardashian Seeks “A Little Bit of Grace” as She Addresses North West’s Recent Public Attention

Kim Kardashian

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian has opened up about the challenges of parenting her eldest daughter, North West, amid growing public scrutiny.

Speaking on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the 44-year-old Skims founder addressed recent online debates surrounding her 12-year-old daughter’s style choices — including wearing a corseted top and sporting a dermal piercing.

Kardashian urged the public to be more understanding toward mothers raising preteens, saying she’s doing her best to navigate motherhood in the public eye.

“I think like any mom of a teenager or a preteen, unless you’ve been here, please — we just need a little bit of grace,” she said.

She explained that while many kids wear similar outfits, her daughter’s fashion choices often attract outsized attention due to their public profiles.

“It’s interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things, but then my daughter tries to wear it, and I’m like, ‘OK, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world,” Kardashian admitted.

Despite the controversy, Kim emphasized that North is “a good and sweet girl,” describing her as a tomboy who was simply trying to experiment with styles her friends were wearing.

“As a mom, you’re kind of learning at the same time,” she added. “I’m raising four kids by myself, and I’m doing the best that I can. My babies are good babies.”

Kardashian shares four children with her ex-husband, Kanye West (Ye)North (12), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (6).

The All’s Fair actor also spoke candidly about co-parenting with Ye, noting that it hasn’t been easy.

“It’s not easy. But I raise the kids full-time. They live with me,” she explained. “I welcome a great, healthy relationship between my kids and their dad, and I think he knows that.”
