Ike Turner Jr., Son of Tina and Ike Turner, Dies at 67

Ike Turner Jr., the son of legendary musicians Tina Turner and Ike Turner, has died at the age of 67.

According to family members, he passed away on Saturday at a Los Angeles hospital due to kidney failure. He had reportedly battled long-standing heart issues and suffered a stroke in early September, leading to a gradual decline in his health.

Born in 1958 to Ike Turner Sr. and Lorraine Taylor, Ike Jr. was adopted by Tina Turner early in his childhood. He grew up surrounded by music, deeply immersed in his parents’ iconic careers that helped shape the sound of modern rock and soul.

Following his parents’ divorce, Ike Jr. briefly worked as Tina’s sound engineer before stepping away from the limelight. One of four children connected to the Turners’ musical legacy, he preferred a private life in later years but remained closely tied to his family’s history.

Ike Turner Sr. passed away in 2007, while Tina Turner died in 2023.
