“I Don Tire” – Man Laments as Mother Turns His Car Into Clothesline

A young Nigerian man has sparked laughter across social media after sharing a video of his mother spreading wet clothes on top of his car to dry them.

The man, identified on TikTok as @kizzyfrosh24, posted the humorous clip with the caption, “My mom don start again o. Wetin I go do now? And they said I’m the one putting all these on top my car. Now see the real truth. I don tire.”

In the video, the man’s mother is seen calmly laying wrappers and wet laundry across the roof and bonnet of his car, apparently using it as a makeshift clothesline. The son, visibly exasperated, could only record the moment while expressing his frustration in the background.

According to the TikToker, this was not the first time his mother had used his car for drying clothes. The incident, though funny, captured the everyday realities and occasional frustrations  of living with African parents.

The clip has since gone viral on TikTok, attracting thousands of views and comments from amused netizens who shared similar experiences.

Many users found the video hilarious, noting that African mothers have a unique way of asserting their authority, even over their grown children’s property.

Some commenters teased the young man, saying he should be grateful his mother didn’t wash the car with detergent along with the clothes, while others offered tongue-in-cheek advice on how to “negotiate” peace at home.

“African moms no go ever change. Even if you buy private jet, dem go still find use for am,” one user joked.

“Just leave her, bro. That car belongs to her too  by default,” another quipped.
