Country music legend Dolly Parton, 79, is currently taking time to rest at her stunning Nashville mansion after experiencing recent health troubles that led her to postpone her Las Vegas residency.
The 9 to 5 and Jolene hitmaker is recuperating in the comfort of her beloved home — a colorful and cozy sanctuary she purchased back in 1999 for $400,000. The property, where she lived for decades with her late husband Carl Dean before his passing in March, reflects Dolly’s signature charm and flair.
According to reports, her sprawling Tennessee estate includes a private chapel, tennis court, swimming pool, and a working farm — all nestled amid acres of serene countryside. Inside, the décor is as vibrant and whimsical as the singer herself, featuring color-pop accents, vintage furnishings, and a kitchen that changes with the seasons — from pastel pink to cherry red.
Dolly’s music room is one of her favorite spots, complete with a piano set against a large window where she often plays and reflects.
Her younger sister, Frieda Parton, took to Facebook earlier this week to ask fans to lift Dolly in prayer:
“Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me,” Frieda wrote. “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine.”
After her heartfelt post sparked concern among fans, Frieda later clarified that Dolly’s condition wasn’t as serious as some feared.
“I didn’t mean to scare anyone,” she added. “She’s just been a little under the weather. I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in their power.”
Fans around the world continue to send love and well-wishes to the beloved country icon as she recovers in her Nashville haven — a home as full of heart and soul as Dolly herself.
