Nigerian comedian and reality TV star DeeOne has successfully completed a 52-hour stand-up comedy marathon, marking a major milestone in his career and setting sights on a Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy performance by an individual.
The event, which began at midnight on Wednesday, October 2, came to an emotional close in the early hours of Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Pallazzo, Ikeja, Lagos. Over the course of two and a half days, DeeOne performed continuously before a rotating audience of fans, friends, and fellow entertainers who turned up to show their support.
Despite fatigue and exhaustion, the comedian powered through the marathon with energy and humor, earning admiration from both attendees and online followers who tracked his progress on social media.
Speaking shortly after completing the feat, DeeOne said the attempt was driven by a desire to motivate others to pursue their dreams with determination and faith.
“No goal is too high to achieve,” he said. “This is not just about comedy it’s about resilience, focus, and believing in yourself even when the odds seem impossible.”
The record-breaking effort attracted several prominent figures from the Nigerian entertainment industry, including Pamilerin, Acapella, FunnyBone, Uche Maduagwu, Husband Material, EmmaOhMaGod, K-Solo, Constance Owoyemi, Akinolu Jekins, and Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, among others, who came to cheer him on.
Organisers confirmed that the 52-hour performance has been officially submitted to Guinness World Records for verification. If approved, it would make DeeOne the latest Nigerian to etch his name in the global record books.
The comedian’s remarkable endurance feat has already sparked widespread celebration on social media, with fans praising his commitment and describing the attempt as a moment of pride for Nigerian comedy.
