Afrobeats superstar Davido has paid a courtesy visit to French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace the official residence of the French President in Paris.
The award-winning Nigerian singer shared photos from the meeting on his Instagram page on Thursday evening, sparking excitement among fans and fellow celebrities.
Davido was accompanied by his sister Sharon Adeleke, his longtime manager Asa Asika, and nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chiefpriest. The group was warmly received at the historic presidential residence, where Davido and Macron were seen sharing smiles and conversations.
While details of their discussion were not disclosed, the visit is believed to highlight Davido’s continued influence in promoting African music and culture on the global stage. Macron has previously expressed admiration for Afrobeats and has hosted African artists at the Élysée as part of France’s cultural diplomacy efforts.
This is not the first time Davido and Macron have crossed paths the French leader also met the Nigerian star in 2018 during the Afrika Shrine concert in Lagos, organized to celebrate African creativity and cultural exchange.
