Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has fired back at a social media user who criticized him for sharing a casual personal moment online.
The exchange began after the singer posted a photo of his breakfast — plantain and eggs — on X (formerly Twitter). While many fans found the post relatable and wholesome, one user, identified as @ahiwe_ik, took a jab at the superstar, commenting that Davido’s post “should be going on his Snapchat,” suggesting it wasn’t appropriate for the platform.
Unimpressed by the remark, Davido wasted no time responding.
“Ur very stupid… nah u go tell me wetin to do with my life. I never see this kind thing before… I can’t post my plantain n eggs again… wtf y’all be on fr,”
he fired back.
The response quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions across social media.
While some fans defended Davido’s right to post freely on his personal page, others argued that celebrities of his caliber should keep certain casual moments to more private platforms like Snapchat or Instagram Stories.
Despite the debate, Davido’s tweet garnered thousands of likes and retweets, proving that even a simple plate of plantain and eggs can get people talking when it comes from one of Africa’s biggest stars.
