Hollywood actor Channing Tatum has opened up about the changes he’s observing in his 12-year-old daughter, Everly, as she begins to step into her teenage years.
While appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show to promote his upcoming film Roofman, the 45-year-old actor revealed that his daughter — whom he shares with ex-wife Jenna Dewan — has recently become more assertive and strong-willed.
“I got yelled at in an escape room yesterday,” Tatum said with a laugh. “She’s never yelled at me before. All I did was say, ‘I wonder what…’ and she went, ‘Dad, don’t touch that!’ Her eyes changed — they just went shark black or something. It was crazy.”
The Magic Mike star admitted that he’s learning to adapt to this new phase of fatherhood, describing parenting as a “constant negotiation.”
Tatum also spoke about the delicate balance between career and family while appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where he revealed he’s currently considering a movie offer in Australia — a project that could keep him away from Everly for nearly two months.
“It’s always a balance,” he shared. “I can afford to miss a movie, but not moments with my daughter.”
Tatum’s heartfelt reflections highlight the actor’s deep commitment to fatherhood and his determination to remain present as his daughter grows into her teenage years.
