Car Hire Operator Accuses Actress Regina Daniels of Owing ₦570,000 for Vehicle Rental

Car hire operator and Regina Daniels

A car hire operator has accused popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels of allegedly owing him ₦570,000 after reportedly using his vehicle and driver for more than a week without completing payment.

According to the businessman, he was contacted about 12 days ago by an intermediary who requested to hire his Toyota Prado SUV to pick up a client in Maitama, Abuja.

He said he later discovered that the client was Regina Daniels herself. The initial arrangement, handled through a third party, was agreed at ₦150,000 per day for two days, totaling ₦300,000.

“When the two days finished, I told the PA that the payment had ended. They told me to continue, and Regina spoke to me herself, saying she would be paying,” he alleged.

The operator further explained that he informed the actress that he had no fuel money, and they agreed that ₦30,000 would be deducted daily from the rate for fuel, leaving ₦120,000 as his balance per day.

“That’s how we worked for 9–10 days, even at night,” he added.

Trouble reportedly began when Regina Daniels and her team were traveling through the private wing of the airport. The operator claimed his driver called to inform him they were leaving, prompting him to rush over, only to discover that the actress had boarded her chartered flight without clearing the balance.

He said he confronted one of her aides, who had been handling communication, but she allegedly claimed the payment had been made — without showing proof.

“I took her to the police station, but she escaped after saying she wanted to use the restroom,” the operator said.

He is now publicly appealing to Regina Daniels to settle the outstanding ₦570,000 debt.

As of the time of filing this report, Regina Daniels has not released any statement regarding the allegation.
