Disturbing reports have emerged from MDC Brooklyn, where music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently being held.
According to multiple sources including Daily Mail and TMZ Diddy was attacked by a fellow inmate, who allegedly held a knife to his throat during the night.
His close friend Charlucci Finney revealed that Diddy woke up to find the weapon pressed against him a situation that could have easily ended in tragedy. Finney told reporters he isn’t sure if guards intervened or if Diddy managed to defend himself, but confirmed it was a terrifying close call.
Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ that the incident appeared to be a targeted intimidation attempt. Finney believes the motive was to scare Diddy, noting that prisons can be especially dangerous for inmates linked to sex-related convictions.
During Diddy’s sentencing, his lawyer Brian Steel confirmed the same incident, saying that a prison guard stopped the attacker before any serious harm was done.
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence after being convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act — a law involving the illegal transportation of individuals across state lines. He was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges earlier this year.
Meanwhile, reports have circulated that former U.S. President Donald Trump is considering pardoning Diddy, but the White House Communications Office has publicly denied those claims. Still, TMZ says its sources stand by the story.
Prison consultant Sam Mangel, who spoke to TMZ Live, said Diddy is expected to be moved to a lower-security facility soon one that’s considered less violent than MDC Brooklyn. But he also warned that the recent incident shows why Diddy must remain on high alert.
Finney described the experience as “terrifying” and said it’s a harsh reminder of how dangerous prison life can be even for high-profile inmates.
