According to reports, Tomeka filed for divorce in September 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. Court documents allegedly revealed that Akon had transferred most of his wealth to his mother’s name, leaving his personal accounts nearly empty.

Tomeka Was Seeking a $100 Million Settlement

Sources close to the case say Tomeka had been pushing for a $100 million settlement, arguing that she contributed significantly to building Akon’s vast business empire over the years. However, the revelation that the artist had no substantial assets in his name may drastically affect her payout.
