Nollywood actress, Liz DaSilva, has revealed how she narrowly escaped a life-threatening accident during a recent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan.
An MRI uses powerful magnets to create detailed body images, and patients are required to remove all metal objects before undergoing the procedure, as they can be pulled by the magnet and cause serious injury.
In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, DaSilva explained that she almost entered the MRI machine with metal pins hidden inside her wig, a mistake that could have led to a serious accident.
The actress said she had already removed her earrings, bra, waist beads, and chain before the scan but suddenly remembered her wig contained pins.
“I was almost ready to go in. But I remembered that there are pins in my hair, pins in my wig. So I had to quickly remind her. She said, oh, I was about to ask you,” she recounted.
Breaking down in tears, Liz thanked God for saving her, stressing in Yoruba that she could have died if she had forgotten.
“Truly, God saved me, I can say it boldly, anywhere. What would have happened? If God had not protected me, who knows where I would have gone, maybe even died. Whatever wanted to happen, would have happened,” she said emotionally.
The actress urged her fans and the public to always be cautious and follow medical guidelines, especially when undergoing procedures involving magnetic machines.
