A shocking case in Zimunya, Zimbabwe has led to the conviction of a 19-year-old man, Carrington Mutasa, after he was caught engaging in a s3x act with a chicken.
The disturbing incident occurred on 16 September 2025 in Piki Village under Chief Zimunya, Mutare District. According to court proceedings, Mutasa entered the homestead of a villager around 5:30 p.m. when no one was home. He then went into the fowl run, seized a hen, and committed the act.
His actions, however, did not go entirely unnoticed. The victim’s granddaughter reportedly saw him leaving the fowl run suspiciously and raised alarm. When the grandmother inspected the coop, she discovered one of her chickens had sustained severe injuries. The hen’s cloaca was described as having a “large hole,” which confirmed suspicions of abuse.
Shocked and horrified, the woman called neighbours to witness the condition of the bird. Upon being confronted, Mutasa openly confessed to the act, stunning villagers who immediately reported the matter to Zimunya Police Post. He was arrested the same day.
During investigations, neighbours and witnesses corroborated the granddaughter’s account and testified to the state of the injured chicken.
The case was swiftly prosecuted, and on 24 September 2025, Mutasa appeared before the Mutare Magistrates’ Court. The court found him guilty of bestiality under Zimbabwean law, based on his own admission and overwhelming evidence presented by the prosecution.
The ruling has left the local community shaken, with residents condemning the act as both cruel and morally repugnant. The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) confirmed the conviction, although details of Mutasa’s sentencing were yet to be disclosed at press time.
