Nigerian singer Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, popularly known as Reekado Banks, has hit back at a troll who mocked him for attending church, insinuating that his faith was linked to struggles in his music career.
The incident began after content creator Kesari revealed on Instagram that he was considering drawing closer to God but was unsure whether to embrace Christianity or Islam. In response, Reekado Banks invited him to join his church.
A video of the two worshipping together later went viral, attracting widespread attention. While many fans praised the artiste for openly expressing his faith, one critic dismissed the act, commenting: “When they fail at music, they start going to church.”
Reekado Banks responded in a video posted on his social media pages, condemning the remark. “Forget that guy whose comment brought me down today. My friend even called to tell me to delete it. Forget you!” he said.
The exchange has since sparked debate online, with fans divided between commending the singer’s faith and criticizing the troll’s comment.
