Omah Lay Sparks Concern After Admitting He’s Battling Depression Again

Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has raised alarm among fans after revealing that he is once again struggling with depression.

The “Soso” crooner took to Snapchat on Monday, posting a series of emotional messages suggesting that ongoing complications with his record label and past music contracts have deeply affected his mental health.

“Fk contracts. Fk labels. Fk the music business. Fk my younger self. F**k my manager. God please, I’m losing my mind again,” he wrote, blaming both his management and his younger self for agreeing to unfavorable deals.

The revelation comes just weeks after Omah Lay parted ways with his longtime manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi. While Awoniyi described their split as “mutual,” Omah Lay’s labelmate Kaestyle claimed the singer actually fired him.

This isn’t the first time Omah Lay has spoken openly about his mental health. Back in 2022, during the release of his debut album Boy Alone, he admitted to battling depression and used his music as a form of expression and therapy.

Fans have since flooded social media with messages of support, urging the artist to prioritize his well-being over industry pressures.
