Laide Bakare Opens Up on Life After Breakup, Says Ex-Husband Took Back Car and House

Popular Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has opened up about the struggles she faced after her breakup, revealing how her ex-husband stripped her of the properties he had given her during their relationship.

Speaking in an interview shared on the official Mr LilGaGa TV YouTube channel on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Laide disclosed that her husband repossessed both the Range Rover and the house he had bought for her, leaving her with nothing.

In her words:
"I have been crippled economically because when I was with my ex-husband, he collected the car that I was using and changed it with his own car. He told me he wanted to repair my own, but the car was damaged by the mechanic. He gave me a Range Rover car, and he asked me to move into one of his houses in Lagos State, and before I realized it, I didn’t have anything of my own anymore. My husband took all the cars and the house he bought for me, and I was left with nothing."

The actress’s revelation has sparked reactions online, with many sympathizing with her while others urged women to prioritize personal ownership and financial independence in relationships.
