Actress Christabel Ebenezer has set the record straight following the circulation of a viral video that falsely suggested she was facing trial in court.
The widely shared clip appeared to show her inside a courtroom, with online claims alleging she had collected transport fare from a man named Emmanuel but failed to appear, leading to supposed legal proceedings. The story quickly went viral, sparking speculation of fraud.
However, in an exclusive interview with Lucky Udu Experience, Christabel dismissed the rumor, clarifying that the video was not from a real courtroom but rather a scene from a movie set.
She explained:
"Actually, that was a clip from a movie. It didn't happen in real life, and I do not know who recorded that video. I was not aware that anybody was taking a video of me while I was filming on set."
Christabel further stressed that she has no legal case pending and urged fans to disregard the misleading narrative.
Her ordeal highlights the dangers of misinformation in the digital age, where out-of-context clips can easily shape public perception.
