A Bulgarian woman, Andrea Ivanova, has stunned the world by spending over $26,000 on lip fillers alone in a quest to transform herself into a real-life doll — despite repeated warnings from medical professionals about the potentially life-threatening consequences.
Ivanova, who began her dramatic transformation in 2018, has undergone a wide range of extreme cosmetic procedures, including lip injections, chin reshaping and lengthening, jaw contouring, and cheekbone enhancement — all aimed at achieving a doll-like aesthetic.
By 2022, Ivanova had undergone 32 cosmetic procedures, which earned her the unofficial title of having the "world’s largest lips." Her new look, inspired by Bratz dolls, has sparked widespread attention online, as well as concern from health experts.
“I wanted to experiment with myself to see how many injections and how much filler my body could take,” Ivanova told reporters.
Photos of her appearance before undergoing surgery have recently resurfaced online, showing a striking contrast and highlighting the extent of her transformation.
Medical Risks Ignored
Medical professionals have repeatedly warned Ivanova of the serious health risks associated with excessive cosmetic enhancements — particularly the use of hyaluronic acid in such high quantities. Doctors have cautioned that the procedures could lead to tissue damage, infection, disfigurement, and even death.
Despite the warnings, Ivanova remains undeterred. “My doctor was afraid to inject more hyaluronic acid into my lips, but I was adamant. I will not stop,” she said defiantly.
Ivanova has admitted that her bold appearance has affected her love life, but said she has no regrets and is determined to continue her transformation.
In addition to her facial modifications, she also underwent breast augmentation surgery, increasing her size from 75C to 75E.
While Ivanova's case has sparked debate about the ethics of extreme body modification and the role of cosmetic practitioners, she remains committed to her evolving look.
“This is my choice. I feel happy this way,” she added.
