According to police officials, the father was out of town and the mother had gone to the fields when the altercation took place. “Preliminary inquiry has found that the boy and his sister were the only ones at home at the time of the incident,” said the local Circle Officer.

When she refused, a heated argument followed, during which the girl allegedly slapped the boy. In a fit of rage, the teen picked up an iron rod and struck her, causing her to lose consciousness.
Alarmed by the noise, neighbors gathered outside the house, but the boy fled the scene. “Before escaping, he was heard shouting that he had attacked his sister. He later called his elder brother and informed him about the incident,” said a police officer involved in the investigation.
Police detained the teenager on Sunday, and he is set to be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Monday. “The boy will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Monday,” the Circle Officer confirmed.
The parents returned home hours after the incident upon receiving the tragic news. An investigation is currently underway to determine the full sequence of events and establish the motive behind the killing.
The case has sparked outrage in the community and renewed concerns over rising gender-based violence and honor-related crimes in the region.
