Controversial show promoter Sam Larry has taken a swipe at Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo after she disabled the comment section on a recent Instagram post. The move came in response to mounting backlash linked to the ongoing controversy surrounding the late singer Mohbad.
The tension escalated following fresh allegations by activist Verydarkman, who accused Iyabo Ojo of belonging to a WhatsApp group reportedly made up of celebrities allegedly working to sabotage his campaign for justice in Mohbad’s death. He further claimed the group conspired to orchestrate his arrest.
In a swift response, Iyabo Ojo denied the allegations, calling them “baseless and malicious.” However, shortly after issuing the statement, she locked the comments on her post, prompting speculation that she was trying to avoid further criticism. The post was later deleted entirely.
Sam Larry, who has also faced public scrutiny and accusations of being connected to Mohbad’s untimely death, capitalized on the moment to throw shade at Ojo. In a sarcastic post shared on his social media, he mocked her decision to silence public opinion by restricting comments, hinting at hypocrisy.
As the drama continues to unfold, Nigerians remain divided, some calling for accountability, others accusing influencers and celebrities of using the tragedy for clout.
