Prominent Nigerian cleric and spiritual leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a sobering prophecy, warning of more high-profile deaths in Nigeria’s political landscape following the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a video shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, July 13, 2025, Primate Ayodele revealed a divine vision he claimed to have received during a congregational prayer session. The cleric, known for his controversial and often politically charged prophecies, disclosed that another former president is at risk of dying soon, adding that the pattern of deaths would continue in the months ahead.
“We are going to witness the death of an ex-President. After a particular month, another death will happen,” Ayodele stated in the clip.
He further claimed that several former governors are currently on a “danger list,” warning that one will reportedly die in the coming month. According to him, a government minister is also likely to pass away soon after.
“These deaths will not be coincidences. They are signs from the Lord to serve as punishment to the politicians of this country, Nigeria. Let everyone pray fervently,” he said.
The prophecy comes just hours after the reported death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, whose passing sent shockwaves through the nation. Primate Ayodele extended his condolences to Buhari’s family and the Nigerian people but emphasized that his vision suggests the tragedy is far from over.
While the cleric’s predictions have sparked discussions online, it could not be independently verified whether the video was authentic or recorded on Sunday morning, July 13.
Primate Ayodele is no stranger to controversy, having made several predictions in the past related to politics, sports, and global affairs. His supporters view him as a prophetic voice, while critics often accuse him of sensationalism and opportunism.
With tensions already high and a period of mourning underway, Ayodele's latest message adds a spiritual dimension to the uncertainty looming over Nigeria’s political class.
