Despite the fame, global tours, and a shelf full of awards, Kenny Blaq remains one of Nigeria’s most down-to-earth celebrities. The music-comedian, known for blending humor and harmony, recently opened up in a candid interview about how he’s stayed grounded, quite literally.
“I still take bike,” Kenny Blaq revealed. “I still sit in bukka to eat. But sometimes, once people recognize me, I end up paying for everybody’s food.”
In a world where celebrities often chase clout and luxury, Kenny Blaq’s humility is refreshing. While some might expect a star of his caliber to shy away from public spaces, he embraces them.
He doesn’t live to impress, he lives to relate.
The comedian compared fame to a mobile data plan, joking that it could run out at any time:
“One day, people might switch to a new ‘network.’ You go just realize say your own don slow.”
That awareness keeps him rooted. Even as his career takes him to stages in India, Malaysia, Egypt, Dubai, and beyond, he hasn’t lost sight of the streets that raised him.
“I may be Kenny Blaq on stage, but off stage, I’m still Ki, the same guy who grew up knowing that humility never goes out of style.”
In an entertainment industry where “fake it till you make it” is the norm, Kenny Blaq stands out for keeping it real. And that authenticity? That’s his true superpower.
