Tragedy has struck the Adamawa State Government following the sudden death of Suleiman Aliyu Garga, a Special Assistant on Content Creation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. Garga died on Saturday, July 20, just days after publicly complaining of a severe toothache.
In a poignant Facebook post shared on Thursday, July 17, Garga had written:
“You should pray to God to save you from toothache even if it is for 1 minute Alaji. Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best disposer of affairs.”
Sources revealed that Garga was admitted to the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, where he underwent a surgical procedure related to the dental complaint. However, post-surgery complications reportedly led to continuous bleeding from the surgical site, ultimately resulting in his untimely death within 24 hours of the operation.
He was laid to rest on Sunday morning, July 20, at the Yolde Pate Muslim Cemetery in Yola. The burial followed the Sallah Raka’at prayers held at the Modibbo Zailani Mosque, in accordance with Islamic rites.
Garga’s sudden death has sent shockwaves through government circles and the local community, with many mourning the loss of a vibrant media aide known for his creativity and dedication to public communication.
Tributes have poured in across social media platforms, with friends, colleagues, and well-wishers expressing disbelief and grief at the tragic turn of events.
