Elderly Woman Goes Viral After Calmly Preparing Her Own Funeral Program

“It’s my funeral, I can have it my way, period,” she declares

A heartwarming and unconventional video of an elderly woman meticulously planning her own funeral has captured the attention of social media users around the world.

The video, originally posted on TikTok by user @just_kamoni, features a candid moment between a young woman and her grandmother, who is seen sitting at a desktop computer editing photos and organizing the details of her future funeral service.

In the now-viral clip, the granddaughter expresses surprise and concern upon discovering her grandmother’s detailed preparations. She questions why such plans are being made while her grandmother is still alive and seemingly well.

But the grandmother, unfazed and composed, calmly explains that she believes her time is near and wants her farewell to unfold exactly as she envisions.

“I’m going sooner than you think. You only have to put the date I die there,” she says in the video. “I have the program, order of service, who I want to speak, sing. It’s going to go just like I said. It’s my funeral, I can have it my way, period.”

The exchange, both humorous and touching, has drawn a flood of reactions online. Many viewers praised the grandmother’s confidence and pragmatism, with some calling her a “legend” and others saying her approach brought both comfort and clarity to a typically difficult topic.

Beyond the humor, the video has sparked broader conversations about end-of-life planning and the importance of making wishes known before it’s too late. For many, the grandmother’s actions are not only admirable but inspiring — a reminder that even in the face of mortality, one can remain empowered and in control.

As the clip continues to circulate across platforms, it stands as a poignant mix of love, legacy, and levity — leaving viewers both laughing and wiping away tears.
