A heart-wrenching tragedy has unfolded after the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, India, claimed the life of Arjun Patolia, a father of two. Patolia was on his way back to London after scattering the ashes of his late wife, Bharti Patoliya, in a local river, fulfilling her final wish.
The couple's two children, aged four and eight, have been left orphaned after losing both parents in just 18 days. Bharti Patoliya passed away seven days ago in London after a courageous battle with cancer, and now her husband Arjun has perished in the plane crash.
Arjun had traveled to Gujarat, his wife's homeland, to lay her to rest and scatter her ashes in the sacred Narmada River, a holy site in Hinduism. After carrying out several funeral rites in his ancestral village, Arjun boarded the Air India flight home to London, where his daughters were waiting for him.
The plane crash has claimed the lives of 241 people, including Arjun Patolia. The incident has left the family and friends of the victims in shock and grief. As the investigation into the crash continues, many are left wondering how such tragedies can occur.
