A 16-year-old boy's mutilated body was found in a canal in Dibai village, Bulandshahr district, sparking a swift police response. The victim, a resident of the same village, was allegedly lured from home, killed, and dumped in the canal.
The police investigation led to the arrest of a minor suspect, while a second accused remains at large. The arrested minor was questioned, and based on his statement, police recovered important evidence, including a cord and a sack believed to have been used in the crime.
According to Circle Officer Shobhit Kumar, the initial findings suggest the accused tried to sexually assault the boy, who resisted and was subsequently strangled to death. The body was then thrown into the canal to cover up the crime.
The arrested minor has been sent to a juvenile observation home, while the police continue to search for the second accused. The police are conducting raids at several locations and are confident that the suspect will be caught soon.
