Former Senator Shehu Sani has mourned the death of 17 soldiers who were killed by terrorists in Niger State. The soldiers were part of an operation against bandits in the region, where scores of terrorists were neutralized.
Shehu Sani paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, saying they gave their lives for the safety and peace of Nigerians. He acknowledged that the loss is not just a statistic, but a devastating blow to the families of the deceased.
Sani appealed to the Nigerian Army and the Federal Government to ensure that the families of the deceased soldiers are well taken care of. He expressed concern about the uncertain future that these families now face and the pain that their children will endure knowing that their loved ones will never return.
Despite the tragedy, Sani remains hopeful and prayerful that Nigeria will prevail over terrorists and bandits. He concluded by saying, "May their souls rest in peace"
